This looks gorgeous printed on wood. It is now hanging on my therapy office wall and is perfect. The color is true to the photo. I love it.
Artist's Description
Hair shaft. Coloured scanning electron micrograph (SEM) of a hair (green) emerging from the skin (orange). The scale-like nature of the surface layer of the skin can be seen. Hairs grow from follicles in the underlying layer of the skin (the dermis). The portion of the hair protruding from the skin is made up of dead tissue, largely the protein keratin. Hair grows at around one centimetre every month. Magnification unknown.
